On the road again

The model (scale 1/87) On the road again has been created from a still image of the video bubblecars. It represents a car crashed ‘in’ a street lamp. This installation is always exhibited in a pitch-dark room where viewers loose all senses of spatial orientation. In order to view to model, you have to kneel down and focus on the object, almost like a camera will do.
Inspirés de la vidéo bubblecars, nous avons réalisé un instantané sous la forme d’une maquette, à l’échelle 1/87e, c’est-à-dire une voiture encastrée dans un lampadaire. Cette installation est montrée dans une pièce totalement noire pour que les spectateurs perdent tout repère spatial et doivent, en quelque sorte, faire la mise au point sur l’objet.
