Memento 6 : Mutations – 2017

This year, the artists plunge into the architecture of the place, literally occupying the spaces to construct a spatial enigma together. MEMENTO has a history, an atmosphere that awakens a past time to become a laboratory for contemporary art. Still in transition, still under construction, it is undergoing a real transformation to become an innovative centre for artistic residence. The new exhibition is thus imagined as a material and sensitive alchemy to deliver an architectural exploration.

Cette année, les artistes plongent dans l’architecture du lieu, occupent littéralement les espaces pour construire ensemble une énigme spatiale. MEMENTO relève d’une histoire, d’une atmosphère qui réveille un temps passé pour se muer en un laboratoire d’art contemporain. Encore en transition, encore en chantier, il opère une véritable transformation pour devenir un pôle de résidence artistique novateur. La nouvelle exposition s’est ainsi imaginée telle une alchimie matérielle et sensible pour livrer une exploration architecturale.
